@amerpie I remember getting in trouble in kindergarten because I couldn't stop giggling every time the teacher said "pooh" while reading "Winnie the Pooh" to the class. She gave up and closed the book, teeth gritted. My fellow students were not much pleased with me.
@apoorplayer here's the Wikipedia link that includes a synopsis and a link to the full text. It's a pretty great short story. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_...
@apoorplayer Were you able to send it to others? I've been receiving what would be my newsletter for several weeks, but I am the only subscriber allowed (I guess).
@dansmock Followed! Thanks for the tip.
@wcaleb perfect
@apoorplayer Have you ever read D H Lawrence's short story "The Rocking-Horse Winner"? "There must be more money" is a constant chorus.
@dansmock Thank you. All of that makes sense. And I am happy to have found another Obsidian fan--although given the amount of highlights I transferred over using the Readwise service, I have not found the time to process them. (Although I have to confess that I find Nick Milo a bit overwhelming.) Thanks for the response!
@apoorplayer Probably one should assume all of my posts are sarcastic until further notice.
@dansmock Curious what you like about Ghost.
@apoorplayer I have no doubt it is filled with innovative insights...
@tinyroofnail You're welcome! Can I ask what you liked?
@manton Got it. Thanks!
@manton Am I right that I would need to $15/month plan if I wanted my wife to be able to write on my blog?
@apoorplayer I agree: it's as likely as those other unlikely things...

@dansmock Perfect analysis. We seem to give people who create systems of violence a pass, because the rules of neoliberalism encourages it. Most people don't "endorse" murder, but it doesn't take much to understand it. In this case, the CEO is a symbol.
